Hungarian gastronomy

Hi Everyone ! :)

Let me introduce the gastronomy of my country ! :)

So here in Hungary people love to eat ! The portions of the food are usually big. Most of the hungarian food are spicy. The hungarian people eat a lots of bread and meat. We like soups and stews. In fact i don't really like our gastronomy. Too spicy and "heavy" to me. I prefer italian food much more !!!! :)  Here is some of our famous dishes :) :

Maybe you heard about the famous goulash ( in hungarian " gulyás " ) : "  is a soup or stew of meat, noodles and vegetables, seasoned with paprika and other spices."

The hungarian people also like stuffed cabbage. There are a lot of types of stuffed cabbage. This is a dish consisting of cooked cabbage leaves wrapped around a variety of fillings. Here in Hungary we fill it with rice and meat. ( pork most of the time ).

As the hungarians love to eat the like desserts as well! ( I like them too :)))) ) One of our desserts is the " Hortobágyi Húsos Palacsinta " ( Crepes a lá Hortobágy ) which are filled with meat, onions and spices.

However it doesn't taste sweet it is delicious :)

What i like and i like it really is what we call " Túró Rudi".  This is basically chocolate bar. The bar is composed of a thin outer coating of chocolate and an inner filling of túró (curd).  "Túró Rudi" can be made in different flavours and sizes.

So this is a part of the hungarian gastronomy :) I hope you like it ! So if you travel to our country don't forget to try some or ALL of these dishes!!! :)
