Christmas feeling ? Christmas traditions in Hungary

Hi Everyone!

Tomorrow is Christmas Eve ! Wow... time is flying by too fast for me ! :) Have i got a christmas feeling ? More or less. Today i made way for the christmas tree in the room. We will decorate the Christmas Tree tomorrow. We decorated the Christmas Tree at my fathers place today. It didn't went very good... anxiety...crying in the bathroom and i cam home as long as i could.

Here in Hungary we don't say that " Santa is giving the presents to us". We say the " Jesus gives us the presents and the Christmas Tree." We have " Santa day" at 6th of December. We say that in Christmas Eve Jesus bring the decorated Christmas Tree into the room and when we hear the voice of a little bell we can come in. It is a very nice thing ! :)

I have always loved Christmas ! We ( my brother and i ) believed in the " Jesus gives us the presents and the decorated Christmas Tree" myths. :) As a lot of chliren does !!!! :) Children here write letter or letters to Jesus about what they ask for. Families celebrate the Christmas Eve together and they go to visit their family member at the next day. We don't have " Boxing Day". I mean yeah....we still celebrate at 26th of December but we don't do the "boxing thing".
